I'm author of the DWS
program (FSC developers workshop) .
DWS 2.x program emulates the
operation of the actual Honeywell FSC controller from existing or newly created logic
diagrams. It aids in debugging or troubleshooting of performance problems. It is not
intended to replace the normal programming procedure or tools from Honeywell. Making this
program the author tried to attain the maximum compatibility with an actual controller by
analyzing its program operations.
Unlike the Honeywell program (for
instance, FSC Navigator) this program is completely compatible with Windows 9x, ME; also
with WINDOWS NT, 2000/2003, XP and gives the opportunity to use fully the capacity of
these operational systems (for instance, the support for printers of different
manufacturers, the resize of the window showing FLD and so on).
This program is intended for
professional application makers to check the algorithm accuracy (correctness). You can
test applications made in SYM1 and SYM2 formats by the given program. The author
successfully tested the program on FSC applications made with 4xx – 6xx releases.
DWS 2.x has MDI interface. User can test one FLD or
all project at the same time. DWS 2.x supports all standard features of FSC system (except
for PIDs). This version has improved interface and algorithm. Besides it allows to write
events in log file (like FSC SOE) and check functional block behavior (look at any FBs on
FLD page). During the test user also can make some changes in FLD logic (change constant
or timer value and so on). These changes don't modify actual
FLD.
Latest version intend for FSC
releases 400-500 is DWS 2.5.1 and DWS 2.6.1 for FSC release 60x.

Process data storage is new
project for TPS. PDS is set ot programs for gathering technology information from LCN in
history archive by TPS DDE and analyze it.
